What cases may they be?

deny extradition of it's citizens in order for those citizens to stand trial for murders comitted in other countries (there are cases in Italy, Japan and Norway to mention just a few

Double standards? You must understand the nature of the case before making the accusations you have.

It would go a long way to the argument if you post the links with the pertinent facts associated with the cases you just mentioned.

The US has extradition treaties with many a nation, but certain levels of standards must be met in order to extridite a citizen (which the US has done prior) to another country. A level of proof, or evidence, must be presented before anyone is delivered to another country, otherwise the US may just be doing nothing more beyond sending one of it's citizens to another coutry as a "scapegoat"
