Vista Woes....maybe Microsoft should have held off a bit longer.
I am amazed by the number of really stupid errors in the program. For example, I had an incompatible DVD player, PowerDVD already installed on my Dell machine. Vista doesn't like it and I can find no Vista upgrade for it. When I try to uninstall it from the remove programs window, I get an error saying the program in incompatable and is shutting down the uninstall! NO DUH! That's why I want to uninstall it!!!!! That is the most idiotic thing I've ever seen. In the meantime I can't get MS Media Player to become the default player. So far I have spent 2 hours on MS tech phone calls. I'm no closer to a solution and they don't seem to have a clue. Isn't this why there is Beta testing?????

I'm also amazed at the lack of Vista drivers that are available from hardware vendors. Of course the MS pre-install untility didn't warn of many of these incompatibilities.

The program has many good points. It just wasn't ready for release. Jeff with a cloudy Vista.....
