Any company should NEVER allow free time for any staff to use the Internet while on break! Especially with the security issues involved, vulnerabilties & just plain stupid users!
What do these people think? That it can all be fixed by visiting a tech site & getting instructions on how to remove spyware/malware, etc.
Plus the audacity of using Instant Messenging on Corporate computers or any business for that matter!
People must have secure IM w/ programs such as IM Secure? from Zone Labs!
If it were my company, I would NEVER give my staff any free access to the Internet.
I would employ other "perks" such as giveaways, good/fair pay, benefits, etc. (even for people who work p/t) whatever race, creed, religion, sexual orientation they happen to be!
I've heard of people DLing the likes of Kaaza and P2P sites of that ilk to use in their "free time".
If I found out that ONE person DLed P2P, Instant Messenging such as MSN, Yahoo, AIM, etc. Spyware/malware & God knows what, they'd be given
a pink slip tout suit!!!
