It's too bad
people are so niave... I could list a dozen ways your SSN is floating around and buried in a database full of others. Your great DMV most likely is selling the data. They'll deny it, but ask any seasoned honest military recruiter how they obtain that data. Ever heard of Lexis/Nexis? You don't think courts need money? Credit Card companies are notorious for selling private data. Oh! and a really sucker punch for you bozo's out there mailing in your so-called rebate info. Why do you think it takes 6 weeks to get your rebate? It's not because the workers are back logged. The budget process for them is to have a return on the investment. What is the investment? YOUR DATA! Welcome to corporate america at its best and continue to fill out those forms, rebates, sweepstakes, etc... and continue to wonder how your data is being obtained and sold...
