MY os is better...
Jees these posts regress into ?my os is better than your os? HELLO? People it is just a tool. I do not own a mac, have never owned a mac, but when i get some mad money i intend to buy one. Why? Because I do tech support for an ISP, and so that I can talk intelligently about the hardware and software. Two of my current home PC's duel boot into Windows XP (I like XP: stable and mature), and Ubuntu Linux. I am new to Linux, but I really like it and it does most things quite well. On an older pc (my disabled brother's) I run xubuntu Linux which has a light weight windowing environment. It runs fast for a 900Mhz, 128 megs RAM, 10 gig HDD! I beta tested Vista RC1 for several months, but I didn't like it too much because it does nothing that XP already does. Now: it IS pretty! And I will buy a copy as I will need to support it at work. My first ?IBM compatible? computer WAS an IBM XT! Yes there are a lot of security issues with windows, but A smart computer user knows how to practice safe computing. In all my years of running windows, I have only contracted ONE virus! And that was at university and I should have known better. My point is: If you like windows, but are concerned about security, read up on how to protect yourself and your computer! Windows and Linux are both wonderful OS' and I think we are childish to regress into MY os is better than your os instead lets spend are energy in how to hunt down and kill the computer crackers, yes kill them as that should full under the homeland security, terrorist thing
