So many thing wrong...

Especially when a Mac is nothing more than a Intel-based PC with a modified
BIOS preventing real operating systems from being installed..

Two things wrong here.
First: OS X is a real OS
Second: The Bios you refer to doesn't prevent the installation of Unix, Linux or
even windows on a Mac.

and With OS X being a modified FreeBSD, Apple has little to write home about.
Not at those prices.

OS X is a fully functional OS the core is based on Free BSD with Apple supplied add
ons. As far as price, Apple is competitive with similarly equipped name brand
windows pcs. So Apple doesn't make the bargain bin junk you can buy in the
windows world, Apple doesn't care, they'd rather make a better class of machine.
