Just a FYI: Intel Macs don't use BIOS they use EFI. It's newer technology that
Microsoft wants to support but most hardware manufacturers are slow to update.
And you can load many different OS's on Intel Macs if you bother to do a little
research. (WinXP runs smooth) Re:OS X being a modified FreeBSD, sure. But you
do get rock solid security with that. Count the actual virus for OSX vs Windows,
not zero level exploits or bugs. No OS is perfect, but the security issues with
Windows is unacceptable in this day & age. Maybe Microsoft should do what
Apple did & kill off legacy software support in their OS. Perhaps do a "classic"
mode for a certain period of time.
