ID theft remains top concern for consumers

Once again PAC money proves to be a good investment....

The credit agencies and their cronies have proven once again that paying off legislators in the form of PAC money is paying nice dividends.

The vast majority of Americans are simply not allowed to freeze their credit accounts and that is just plain pathetic. I should be able to freeze and un-freeze my account with either a simple phone call or via online access. That single step would take a huge bite out of any concerns I have over ID theft.

Of course, as always, the money talks and since frozen accounts might be inconvenient for the credit agencies and other Corporates, we can't allow people to protect themselves. After all, their profits must take precedent over personal safety.

Our legislators and "leaders" are pathetic at times.
