I give you the permission to reproduce my words (in the previosu messages or this one), and to edit them (sorry for the typos, correct them as needed because i'm not a native English speaker).

What I really want to say is that Microsoft should really change its current "Windows everywhere" long-term strategy in favor of "Microsoft services severywhere", stopping its unuseful fight against other OSes; OSes are predicted to become just a common utility for PCs, but usages of PCs will fade out.

If Microsoft wants to make a revolution, then it's by demonstrating that it's the best software company that can work and create good products for consumers using various OSes. Microsoft should then really start building products and providing services for Linux users, instead of fighting against them; Microsoft should really consider that many governements in the world have already chosen free solutions supported by a community as an alternative, because it's supported and scrutinized by lots of different providers: that's what competition is for, it is in the interest of the public and of consumers in general to have the choice.

Diversity of solutions is also for now the best tool to help limiting the growing economical impact of security threats, it allows multiple security providers to implement multiple fences and multiple parallel strategies against cybercriminals. It is in the interest of every large organizations to have multiple fences to help secure every possible security hole, and it really complicates the taks of criminals that need to have excellent skills into those multiple systems, and that need to collaborate between each other, as they can't know or understand everything (this is where they can be detected, tracked and arrested, because they do communicate on unsecured networks!)
