Looking for logic in your dribblings
As an actual enterprise using Office products, these vulnerabilities should be a concern to anyone who is using Office. And using the "logic" that you're going to strip away any email attachment that comes in, then why not just make yourself bullet-proof by uninstalling Office completely. If you don't expect to be able to use the product, then why carry the burden of administering it in the first place? There's even cost savings to be had that you overlooked in in your brilliant non-use solution!

It's time Microsoft finally admitted that their Office products are not acceptable and either re-architect them or give up in the space. Because if they expect customers to keep putting up with this, their customers will solve this ongoing problem in their own way, and Microsoft won't like the resolution.
