Nobody, huh?

"The sky isn't falling. Nobody out there is aware of this."

Strange. I'm wondering then how I became aware of this?
And if you are reading this, then you too have become aware. Must be some kind of social engineering virus or somethin'.

But is the sky falling?

Let's follow this flawed train of thought, shall we?
* MS just needs to release a patch via Windows Update.
* Win Mobile devices have no Windows Update equivalent.
* If you hard reset your PDA, any software-patches may be lost because the firmware itself likely wasn't patched.
* A way to permanently patch it is with the fix included as a firmware update.
* Our PDA and Mobile makers are lethargically slow in releasing firmware updates.
* Microsoft can't release firmware patches themselves because each vendor tailors Windows Mobile for their devices.
* Are there any PDA models that have the exact same firmware base so a vendor can just make one version of a firmware patch?
* All this security hole will create a vaccuum effect surrounding each and every affected PDA and device.
* The fabric of space and time will begin to warp.
* The sky will be falling as it is haplessly sucked into the black holes of PDA firmware ROMs!
