There's not a large market selling Antivirus for Linux or Apple's OS X. At present the only reason to run AV on Linux, or OS X, is to keep from accidentally forwarding Windows viruses. Six Linux viruses, and zero Apple viruses doesn't generate a lot of sales.

Symantec, McAfee, and others that depend on consumer AV sales will be hurt when Microsoft starts bundling their latest "innovation", RAV antivirus, which they recently purchased.

Or they could be hurt if consumers wise up, quit using Internet Explorer and MS email clients, thus eliminating the primary way the world's viruses spread.
