bitmat23 says "If however you want to play games or write documents that are
more compatible with most computer users then use a pc."

I can't comment on games, but as a Mac user since 1984, and a Microsoft Word/
Office user since it was first released, I know I have been able to transparently
move Word files between any of my Macs and Windows PCs, as long as the
versions are of reasonably similar vintage. It is my impression that Word is by far
the dominant word processing app out there, so his comment on text document
compatibility is simply not accurate.

BTW, Microsoft (for all their faults and limitations) does a good job with Mac
versions of their applications and Office for Mac usually has the new features first.
Go figure.
