Why hate Apple? Just dismiss them
I note that there have been far fewer rants on ZdNet since they changed to their new format. That's a good thing, I believe. Very little is accomplished by childish outbursts, insults and name-calling. As far as Apple is concerned, I personally don't hate them or Steve Jobs; I just have no use for them. I do not need a Mac, and can honestly say that I would not take one even if offered to me for free. To me, Apple may be nice as a multi-media platform, but it lacks the comprehensive support of business and technical applications that are available in Windows. I know as soon as I say that, a bunch of hostile posters will jump out of the woodwork and criticize that, and accuse me of all sorts of bad motives. Only thing is, I just don't have any motives. If Apple were so wonderful, people would be abandoning Windows in droves and buying Macs. But, they're not. Yes, for servers, Linux seems to be an adequate solution and those ARE being installed. For end-user productivity and business apps, if Mac was really better, everyone would buy them, and they're not. And this silly argument that Windows is full of bugs and Mac is perfect is, well, perfectly ridiculous. I am just guessing, but I am fairly sure that mere, imperfect mortals wrote both of them.

Software has bugs, and will always have bugs, no matter who writes it. Get over it, go back to work, and behave yourself.
