lx more secure... :S
Well I will say ANY operating system will be as secure as their administrator's knowledge about it, and their willingness for it to be secure.

I've seen lx implementations that are really really unsecure.

As for cheaper, well it depends, for a single user, it may; and if he/she can really estimates their productivity, manageability, security, collaboration, training and ease of use. At the end, it will be a really close finish, or even Windows more cheaper. For corporations, I guess the facts goes against lx.
