EVERYTHING (Apple included) has flaws. It is when you look at the bigger picture that you get a better idea of how things may be.
A 22 day old flaw isn't as bad when you compare it to how other handle their patching. But a flaw that has serious ramifications does need to be patched swiftly.
In defense of Apple (because yes, like others out there I am more prone to stick up for something that I would prefer to use) They did patch it after 22 days and did not wait until a spcific time of the month to do it.
And depending on who you ask it was deemed a pretty critical flaw.
So hats off to APple for that.
Now I am by no means saying that Apple is perfect. Far from it. While it may be perfect for me or the guy sitting next to me it wouldn't be perfect for the guy sitting next to him if you understand what I am getting at.
The same could be said for the other types of systems out there. Just because it is great for Joe Blow diesn't mean it'll be great for me.
But I am of the opinion that the quicker that you are to fix something, and fix it right, the better it looks for you. I also think that customers will eventually start to look at that more favorably. - Posted by: Shelendrea Posted on: 01/24/07 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
