Cue the Windows apologists

And one of the reasons no version of Windows connected to the internet will ever be completely safe. While it's relatively easy to stay ahead of MSFT's monthly patch cycle, it's a bit harder to stay ahead of the security vendors. But that's where the effort is these days.

Beating Windows security is so easy that now it's a struggle between the hacker gangs and the anti-virus providers. The reality being you can't run Windows in a connected environment without paying an anti-virus software subscription and even then you're always behind the security curve.
