- What if vs what is
-
"You get one side saying "why are you looking at MY email, I'm not a terrorist and I've killed no-one" while the other side says "my family would still be alive if only you read the terrorist's email"."
The "why are you looking at MY email" is the what is. The "my family would still be alive" is a what if.
What if is not worth worrying about. What if the police had read the email of the terrorist would save someone? Maybe or maybe not. It's like what if I had bought that lottery ticket last week, I might be millionare right now. Also hindsight is always 20/20, meaning what you know would make say that email's intent obvious but before any deaths it might have meant nothing.
So do you react to what might happen vs what will happen. Personally I don't worry about the "What if" in life I worry about the "What is". - Posted by: voska Posted on: 01/17/07 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
