The math may be off but...
The point was on target. The fact remains that it is only the sorely unthinking that would fall for crap like this. You would have to be a little stupid to suspect it was real for any reason without some kind of other reason you might suspect it could be true. You would have to be quite stupid not to do an internet search on similar type emails to see if similar bogus emails had been reported. You would have to be a complete moron not to go to the police and at least ask if you felt you had serious reason to worry. And you would have to be a complete lunatic to actually pay just because someone sent you an email like that.
