Why it is so profitable
Because the vast majority of users treat the web like they treat their cell phones -- without a second thought to security.

If a million emails are spammed and only 1 percent fall for it, thats 10000 bank accounts compromised in one campaign. A pretty good take for a crook who bought crimeware for a couple hundred or thousand dollars.
