It's not like Microsoft will be losing revenue, is it? And that's the only thing that matters. It's like a farmer who owns 10 million sheep. If a couple of hundred thousand are dying with broken legs, it makes so little difference as to be not worth worrying about. The sheep farmer just pays a couple of dozen friendly cowboys to walk into local saloons and tell people that "The sheep farmer cares so much, he'll definitely call the vet at some point, so there's no need to worry about those thousands of dead and dying sheep".
