I agree, I'm getting ready to switch too . . .
I agree, this is just getting worse and worse.

One time (I forget which release), they did an overhaul of their reader - with the result of it being bigger, slower, and more buggy. Now they're trying to add more multimedia and security stuff that a) Nobody ever uses and b) Just makes their reader more bloated.

It's like they want PDF to emulate web pages or something - why? We already have HTML, CSS, AJAX, and other things to do this stuff - we don't need PDFs doing it!

PDFs always have been, and always should be, for one thing: Print media. If you want something that can or should be printed, PDF is great. But it is not, and never should be, a replacement for HTML.

It's my opinion that PDF should do one thing, and do it well. Trying to be something it's not is not good for it.

I think I'm going to switch to Foxit.
