reply to gmail data leak flaw and ..
I was not aware of the fact that google wants users to inform them about their vulnerblities.

shortly i will post my derivations and the codes what i have used to audit google and it's allied services at my blog.

but then would these guys microsoft or google and other major players do anything about it?

I am a victim of pirated WINxp pro OS supplied by my vendor inspite of me paying for the legal version in advance.

After I did not pass through the validation check ... I came to know about my OS being a pirated one.

I searched the internet for bypassing and pass the validation check.

there were so many users who had similar issues and others who had posted the crack or the fixes for this.

But then none seemed to be consistent. After a week my OS was not validated by microsoft.

So i worte a patch for my system and e-mailed the same with the code to microsoft. They did not respond to it.

Because of this indifferent attitude of microsoft and their call centre in India ,i posted my patch across the forums on the net.

The patch is absolutely fine and working and today i get all the goodies from microsoft.

The reason for me to cite the above example rises out of the question whether it is worth sharing our knowledge and experience with them or directly help the victims who can implement and patch their vulnerablites ASAP.

As in one of my previous postings here at Zdnet talkback I had said that microsoft and Google are black hat social engineers and black hat hackers of the first order.

As my opinion goes these guys must understand that they cannot take users for granted and invade the users privacy. let it be gmail, orkut, youtubeot hotmail and other toys of these guys, these toys crumble like cookies when a serious vulneblitiy penetration run through is done.

As of know Gmail is a confused component of google which is dangerous for users. it is high time google get their act straight.

over and above microsoft or google is not a force to reckon.

If couple of like minded coders put their heads together these guys can be stripped of their pants on their turf. Cloning of their products is not far from reach and can be repackged with a tighter code and sell them with ethics.

They have made the end users so dumb. They cannot claim they are IT giants.

This evolution would happen shortly.

Java needs to be addresed too. They are a major threat for penetrations.

They should be doing something serious to plug this and create an awarness among the programmers.

This posting is data driven. I conclude that honesty and ethics is not a valid entity/moral any more.

All of the above are my opinions and i am solely responsiple for it.
