Nope. Only commie European governments will make brash promises --- and then do nothing, as usual.

Nonsense. The democratic US Government is run by a variety of forces: business, labor, conservative, liberal, altruistic and self-serving -- some with whom I disagree, and some with whom I agree. UNLIKE EUROPE, where one's social class is determined at birth, there are myriad examples of poor people becoming rich (Jessie Jackson and Bill Gates are two who instantly come to mind) and rich people becoming poor (usually due to excessive government regulation).

Hmmm. Something useful like computer technology and the Internet, advances in agriculture, medicine, industry, etc. etc. etc., in which the US has always been a front-runner? Oh, that's right. Never confuse a liberal with facts.

Devaluation does not a third world nation make. And the exchange rate throughtout the 1960's was $2.40 to the pound, not $1.97.

Really? To where are we slipping and sliding at such an accelerating pace? And how would joining Europe's verbal (only) "war on spammers and scammers" change that?
