nothing wrong other than plainly biased
I certainly respect your background and experience as I am not a programmer, nor
have any desire to be one. Your services are highly appreciated. I hope your clients
continue to be satisfied with your work in all the areas you mentioned in this post
and your previous reply.

As I commented just a few minutes ago, my duplicate posts were not my intention
but done prematurely and accidentally. I had hoped to find a way to edit a post
without duplication and was dismayed to see that it actually posted twice rather
than edited the earlier one.

My system shows iTunes using about 28 Mb of RAM on a Mac. I have no idea of
what it uses on Windows-based systems, but I don't know if that's the fault of
Apple's programmers or Microsoft's. I don't care either. I just think it should work.
I know that I can "manipulate" QT mpgs whether they are online or stored locally
by using the various control buttons on my screen, but a WMV file can't even be
"rewound" to a certain time point without serious delays and usually crashes and
sometimes a need to reload the file! Of course, this is my complaint about WMV
on a Mac and I can't comment about the same exact WMV file on a PC, so I know I
have no level playing field for comparison. I just know that my clients who play QT
video on their Win computers don't have complaints about the functionality or
smoothness of the playing of those videos.

As for the amount of RAM that OS X uses? I frankly don't know as I typically have
very little reason to check! I SHOULD know and will be looking into this so I can
answer the question honestly. I appreciate the question as it will make me better
informed.
