It doesn't get viruses because it's a bad OS. It propegates viruses because it's a bad OS. The viruses get hold of the OS because it's a bad OS....Stop blaming the virus writers to justify your fear of unknown OSs.
Windows is a wonderful OS, but it has flaws which allow viruses. It is a bad OS because it propegates viruses.
Linux is a wonderful OS but it has flaws which MAY allow viruses. It is a great OS because it does not propegate viruses.
MacOS is a wonderful OS but it has flaws which MAY allow viruses. It is a great OS because it does not propegate viruses.
