But don't let that stop you from trying to foist it on your customers! The MSFT business model. Roll out out new technologies before doing any usability studies to make sure they work in real world applications. Get the sales staff out there doing presentations so managers "get it" and they can convince them to upgrade to Office 2003, even though the rest of world won't be there until 2005 if at all. Get those proprietary formats zipping around so companies have to upgrade office to open a DRM'd 2003 <ocument. Don't worry about what the rest of the world is doing, dominate!

If you can't win with value, win with subterfuge! Go MSFT!
