Actually...
Lots of programs can and do exist.

Take "Hello World!"

What's the flaw in that program?

It all depends largely on what was used to compile that "hello world" program... There may be some silly dependencies linked into the app that can cause problems.

Quite honestly Micrsoft software is pretty flawless. It's not the software in most cases with the problem. It's the user that's flawed. Sure Microsoft as a whole is flawed not every piece of software. I find in most cases Microsoft software does what it's supposed to do in a most flawless manner.

I kinda agree to a limited degree with your statement. However, I would amend it to say that Microsoft (and for that matter most every other legit piece of software) operates "flawlessly" for the most part IF USED AS INTENDED. However, crapware writers of all flavors write their warez to bend DLLs, EXEs and other components of Windows (or whatever passes for them under Linux or OSX) in ways they were never meant to be bent.

Case in point - the graphic handling flaw we saw earlier this year. That particular component hadn't see too much in the way of change since Windows 3.x. But some smarmy little geek figured out how to create a poisoned image that created a breach in security. That component has been around for darn near a decade and it's worked "flawlessly" for the duration.
