Well.... Er ...... they DO allow it.... firing or not..
If they didn't allow it....the employee would never have even had access to all that sensitive information. How/why does a corporation even allow that type of info to be downloaded??

The fact that someone got fired is nothing. That employee is a feeble attempt at creating a scapegoat. The real problem lies in poor information security. If/when several thousand people get ripped off or have their credit rating destroyed, ask them if they are consoled by the fact that the employee got fired.
