Employee fired
It sounds like the Boeing IT Dept. is moving in the right direction with the encryption efforts. It must be very frustrating to them to have this employee disregard the written policies. I would be hopping mad if I worked in that IT Dept. I think Boeing made the right decision in terminating the employee.

Personally, I'm getting tired of dealing with users who gripe about security policies. As if IT Departments implement those just to inconvenience everyone. Then these same people are "outraged!!111" when these news stories appear.
