Sorry....

...wasn't name calling, just describing. Should have left off the word 'freaks'.
However, to your point, sure there should be limited government. However do you really think the american people are going to let the goverment get away with anything that is truly a violation of our personal feelings of freedom to make our own decisions and move about the contry as we desire? To pursue liberty and happiness? To work towards success?

Mission creep may occur because after the folks that implement this sort of thing are gone, others come in and inevitable someone will say, "What if...?"
think of that movie "Gattaca". Do you really think the American people would stand for that? I would think not, but really. who would enforce it? The military? The military is made up of Americans as well. They would never defend a gov't that was taking away their's and their families rights. this is what keeps things in the balance.

Will the gov't come up with some screwy ideas for something like this? Yeah.
But will it really do anything to you and me that will be so impeding or crippling to our personal freedom that we will be miserable? I seriously doubt it. If it did, the people would change it. This is what the wonderful folks of 1776 were intending. That gov't be allowed to regulate things and the people regulate the gov't. I hate big gov't. Believe me. However, it is a necessary evil. Without it we'd be like some of the 3rd world countries out there...the wealthy would be dictators and us normal folk would be miserable. Want your freedoms to dissapear? get rid of gov't and see what happens.
