Let's see, reason # 15978 that I run http://pclinuxos.com with the included 1900 applications, browsers, media progams, Office Suites that actually work, and read/write ALL MS files back to 1986! Linux runs upto 50X faster, multi-tasks, includes huge number of choices, starting with the 20 concurrent desktops!

Also, good reason that most of Microsoft Corporation and all servers, run on and/or behind, GNU/Linux!

Yes, GNU/Linux has been doing 64 bit, since 1993. There are so many areas fully addressed by GNU/Linux and the FREE Open Source Software movement, that Vista can't touch in the foreseeable future.
