Thanks for providing another link that proves you wrong
From your link:
It has yet to be shown that the WMP vulnerability leads to
arbitrary code execution

As I've said from the beginning, this vulnerability may be exploitable but it will be difficult and it hasn't been accomplished yet so yes, MS did patch it before it was exploited.

I'm still laughing my @ss off at the thought of you clinging to this hilarious notion that something causing WMP to crash is a DoS exploit. What next, roving gangs of hackers looking to crash Notepad? HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Seriously though, it can't be a DoS unles it denies you of a service and since WMP isn't a service... well... I would say "do the math" but you seem incapable of even very simple tasks.

Oh, and it was a zero-day thing, and that is the term used for things that are in the wild and being actively used/abused.

Ah, so now you are acknowledging that it has never been referred to as a zero-day exploit because this isn't an exploit. It is a potentially exploitable flaw that was made public before the vendor was notified: hence it is being called a zero-day flaw. Flaw <> exploit. Sorry you can't figure that out. sad

You are even more wrong when you consider that there have been several zero-day exploits that have been released for OSX that were never used/abused (as far as we know) in the wild. The PoC was released, Apple patched it some time later, end of story. Man, it must suck being you!
