College students do not buy CDs or DVDs as all thier money is spent on education. So these people aren't even paying customers.
Next college students do eventually graduate and move into jobs that pay a good wage that gives them a heft disposable income to blow on anything they want. That extra money for luxuries could be spent on CDs or DVDs but won't be.
Look at it like this. If you take watching movies and listening to corporate musica away then students won't listen or watch. Now this void is easily filled by reading books, being outdoors, finding indy music, creating you own music, and such. Now when these students are established in the workforce thier prefernces are set, they don't watch movies or listen to corporate music. Meaning they won't buy DVDs or CDs, at least until they have kids where you may see a change or not.
Crappy corporate movies, poor television, and corporate music will die. Yeah you will still have you movies of worth, you music of worth and television will be a thing of the past but won't life be better that way. More sunlight, better physical health. I'm looking forward to it.
Keep up the good fight RIAA and MPAA. They get people off the couch by not allowing them to be your customers. - Posted by: voska Posted on: 04/19/04 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
