Sounds like a Monty Python routine
Patch, patch, patch, patch and patch. DoS and patches, service packs and patches, virus and patches, patches for patches.

No wonder they changed the update frequency to monthly. The weekly security patches were bad PR. Now they have all month to plan for the release of studies sympathetic to their product before the security announcements and can have time to prepare their, "we're making excellent progress" sound bites for the interviews.

We still have to patch our Linux servers but rarely with the frequency or disruption that patching the winblows boxes.
