Actually that's not a true statement anymore. MS has been making it harder for virus's. You still need A/V software regardless of your operationg system because most OS's don't protect against those kinds of things. Yes it's a little easier to comprimise a MS OS, but majority wise because a user doesn't know any better.

You have to understand, about 90% of the computer users out there only have enough knowledge about computers to just get by, only 5% more are better then average and the other 5% are skilled laborers who are basically bailing out the rest of the people out there.

It's a problem that has to be addressed early in life, like in schools. You have to teach people what are saavy pratices while on a computer, while online and so forth. You don't just give someone a license and let them try and go drive? No you road test them, you get them to pratice and so forth, etc...
