Well which OS OSX or OS9 and prior?

I think you over estimate people's interest in their toaster I mean computer. I
would hazard a guess based on my many years dealing with people that knowing
that their OS is Windows is perhaps a stretch. They think of a computer as a
toater and don't care about whats under the hood as long as it makes nice brown
toast.

As for social engineered victories for OSX? Well since there have been no attacks
as of yet and only a handfull (if that) of Proof of concept bits and pieces of less
than harmful malware that's going to be difficult to come up with for OSX.

As for pre OSX ie OS8 and or 9 perhaps even as far back as OS7 there are those
nasty MS macro viri that infected poor Mac's that had the misfortune to use MS
products. However as I remember (and this is going back some) there was no
social interaction (unless you consider getting an infection from a floppy drive) as
social. No passworlds were given away and such it just infected MS world and or
excel and begane to propergate. Howver the good news was it was mostly a pain
that pretty much only infected the MS product and caused problems iwth it's
operation but the OS itself was fine...typical.
