Huh?
First point I was talking about a lifetime or the lifetime of the Macintosh and while you give one example I can give you many over a period of years.

You can give me many examples of malware attacking the Mac over its lifetime? I know, I can too... and did. My link about Hypercard attacks had more than one in it. There was a time when Hypercard was the most frequently abused piece of software available anywhere. Seriously Jim, you are better off not talking about the lifetime of the Mac and focusing more on the OSX chapter. Pre-OSX MacOSs were a technical joke and, to say they were a security nightmare would imply that there was some form of security in them which would be factually incorrect.

As for the quality of Apple software products

Who said anything about quality? I thought we were talking about security? Apple tends to create very useable, yet abusable software. It was only after they stole a BSD kernel (note: they couldn't write a secure OS themselves) that they got into this neato concept of restricted rights accounts and, as tic pointed out before, ACLs!!

Never use terms like nobody or no one.

Point taken. I should have said that the number of people who use software written by Apple is insignificant compared to the number of people who use software written by Microsoft. That is a lot wordier than "noone" though. happy
