regarding that last line of the article...

when you "check if any of your friends have also been infected" be sure to check with them in person, over the phone, via txt msg, telepathy, w/e. this should be obvious but i used to work in tech support so i know there are thousands of you out there that are going to clean your profile, go to your friend's page, and find out the hard way that yes he's been infected. doh!
