Could just as easily happen on Linux
If a QuickTime plugin for Linux had an identical set of features as the QuickTime plugin for Windows (in this case, running scripts, etc.), this would be just as feasible on Linux.

The problem here is in MySpace's web server code. The vector to exploiting this problem is the QuickTime plugin's ability to run script. It has nothing to do with the OS or browser themselves.
