Here we have a group of smart people with too much time on their hands. They break into a computer and advertise what they did and cause a nusiance of themselves. Ultimately their aims were for bragging rights.
The point is that the security managers at these (high profile) facilities should lose their jobs because if a bunch of amateurs can do this what about state sponsored infiltration whose goals are completely hostile.
If I was a young kid an intellectual challenge like this would be too tempting to pass by.
Swallow your pride and be thankful that these people are doing your job in ensuring you system is secure - and better still they are doing at at no cost ! The claimed damages will be hyped up to demonise these people - what if they really set out to do damage - what then ?
