I was a little pissed off...sorry about that part of the comment.
I just hated when people can't read past the lines and read the news as how they are written and don't judge for themselves taking all of the info available into account. The idea is: if someone is not informed better ask questions then making statements like that.
Think what would might have happened if that particular group was a black hat group and not a white hat.
White hat - good hackers who hack systems not to do harm but only to show that they can. Big companies pay lots of money to this kind of hackers to brake their systems so they can find if they are vulnerable and fix them. It's something like consultancy. Why don't you take it as a free consultancy??
Think that maybe instead a white hat, a foreign gov agency would have braked that and steal all data stored. Now nasa has the chance to make their systems more secure.
