iAdware
This can't happen with Apples BSD UNIX based OSX without the owner being asked for an admin password. In OSX the security is always at system control.

iAdware disproves this. I have now seen it with my own eyes: adware on a mac. Unfortunately, our mac expert left, so our poor office has no skill in fixing this new threat, but I've now seen it. It didn't require a password, it installed without the user knowing it, and it's rather annoying. It also disproves the idea that macs are secure. No complicated system is secure. Mac and linux have remained bug free due largely to their obsurity. It is easier to break Windows, but that doesn't mean that other systems are invlnerable. Any system that doesn't annoy the hell out of the user will be unsecure. As products generally have to not annoy users to be viable, they will always be insecure. There is a gap bewteen can't and very hard to. But hey, someone will always break the thing. No matter what the thing is.
