Linux patch management
"Patch management needs to be addressed w/ linux. Autoupdate must be included."

Ancient history. I've been running automated patching on Linux systems for several years, and could have done it sooner. It's just a matter of having one machine on the network host the patches (yes it can be automated easily, it's just an ftp mirror) and having the rest run a patch cron job at assigned times.

The problem is that *nix admins are reluctant to mess with a running system, especially without doing their own regression testing. Microsoft admins are learning that lesson, too, as MS occasionally ships a patch that fubars systems.
