Go figure. I've seen you say there is no autoupdate in Linux before and many have countered that there is indeed autoupdate. I can't think of a Linux distro that doesn't have it. That aside, who would use autoupdate on a server? Doesn't matter whether it's Linux or MS. Autoupdate would put your data at risk.

The fact that this system was not patched is hardly a reflection of all Solaris or Linux systems or admins, as you suggest.
