Attacks more widespread then initially thought
When ZDnet first reported this it was isolated to a single site causing many of the Linux people to suspect that the attack was performed locally. Now it seems like it was a remote attack.

"The attacks represent one of the widest spread infiltrations of computer systems since a group of hackers--two California teens and three Israelis--gained access to Pentagon servers in the late-1990s."

Also the article reffers to a root access tool that implies a unpatched security flaw in either Solaris or Linux.

This is all very troubleing.
