Again, hardened computer saves me!

Makes me glad that I don't let FF remember passwords or user ids. But a lot of people do.

While I never thought that saving your passwords could be exploited in this way, the idea always made me nervous. Again goes to show that a little proactive security is 10X better than a ton of reactive security.

This is also a great opportunity to remind people not to use the exact same username/password combination on every site they register with. In most cases, it would be trivial for someone on the inside (or even a "hacker" who breaks into the server) to get that list and start trying those combinations on other sites. I would recommend using some form of a password manager and every time you register with a new site, use a different password.

Well, if you use Linux or OSX though, you don't have to worry about this since those OSs are said to be "secure by design".
