Because the headline reads
"Attack code targets zero-day Mac OS flaw"

Did it say "targets intel macs running 10.4.7" - a tiny fraction of
Mac machines? Even the site where this "grave threa' was posted
did not say that. They simply said they'd gotten it ot work on a
currently shipping mac. They fact that the disk image will not
even mount on an earlier machine (not to mention that I haven't
read of any independent 3rd party getting it to mount on a
current mac) was left out of info on the the original site, the Ou
blog, this article, and the silly comment made by the poster that
this responded to.

It seems the "journalists" that put this stuff up don't actually test
what the "security researcher" is saying and the various people
who post comments also just regurgitata a bunch of unproven,
and possibly unfounded, garbage.
