Your assertion is correct
but my post never even hinted at anything that is contradicted by your assertion.

I was never vulnerable to any of these vulnerabilities

and

There would have to be the exact right series of 0-day exploits and all would have to hit my machine at exactly the same time for anything to do any real damage on my machine.

I thought I made it quite clear that my proactive measures had protected me from these exploits and also just happen to have protected me against pretty much every other vulnerability that has been patched on Patch Tuesdays. It is also clear that I admit the right combination of exploits could pwn my machine.

I don't need to know the entire 2 minutes of stuff you did, though that would be interesting.

I've listed it above but basically:
- Firefox (with NoScript)
- Restricted rights account
- Firewall
- And of course a good backup strategy in case of disaster!

Bulletproof? Of course not. However, I do actually read all the vulnerability details and mitigating factors in all the Patch Tuesday documentation and nothing more than the 3 steps above have, so far, protected me from almost everything ever listed. My goal is to be safe from remote, non-targetted exploits. I have no doubts that if some Russian hacker wanted in, they could do it. I'm simply not that interesting though. happy
