That is certainly true! With Mandrake Linux 10.0 Community Edition (wide testing release) there were around 750 MB of patches, mostly Bug fixes. The CE is a Find The Bugs release, and the last stage before the Official (patched). The Official will already have all the patches applied.

In fact, Mandrake Linux 10.0 Official just hit the Mandrake Club.

Patching in Linux is much easier than Microsoft. You don't have to worry about what applications will be rendered non-functional by the patches.
